SWINE FLU VACCINATIONS


SWINE FLU VACCINATIONS WILL SOON BE AVAILABLE

PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO NEED TO CONTACT THE SURGERY AS THOSE PATIENTS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE VACCINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE AN INVITATION.

PATIENTS ELIGIBLE:

  • Asthma – when regularly using Steroid (PURPLE, BROWN OR ORANGE ) Inhalers
  • Chronic Respiratory Disease - COPD, Emphysema, Cystic Fibrosis
  • Chronic Heart Disease – Angina, Heart Failure
  • Chronic Liver Disease - Cirrhosis, Biliary Atresia, Chronic Hepatitis
  • Chronic Kidney Disease - Chronic renal Failure, On Dialysis
  • Diabetic
  • Weak Immune System - Cancer, HIV, Asplenia

THESE VACCINATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO OVER 65'S UNLESS IN ONE OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA

You can now book in for your flu jab at reception. You are entitled to a jab if you are over 65, or suffer from Heart Disease, Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease or COPD, or are a carer.

Extra Surgery Hours


From September 2008 we will be opening for appointments outside of normal surgery hours.
These appointments will vary from week to week but will include early, late and a saturday morning. A timetable of the dates available is avaliable on the link "Extra Hours" on the left hand side.
These appointments are pre-booked only, patients attending the surgey expecting to be seen will be directed to the out of hours service

RACE FOR LIFE


We are pleased to announce that we completed the race for life at Castle Donington on the 2nd July 2008.
