Appointments

To book on appointment you can book the following ways –

  • Book online using the NHS app or Systmonline if you are registered for online services
  • Phone the surgery on 01283 565200 and use our 24 hour booking system or when we are open to speak to a receptionist (for opening hours see our contact us page)

Urgent Appointments

If you need to request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday), our appointment lines open at 8am each morning. We have further appointments released at 2pm each afternoon.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Routine Appointments

We have both face to face and telephone appointments available each day. These can either be booked in advance or on the day.

Advance bookings – appointments are usually available up to four weeks in advance.

Appointment Reason

When making your appointment the receptionist may ask you for a brief reason for your appointment. This is so that your appointment is booked appropriately with the correct clinician.

Who you can see

  • Any doctor at the surgery (if available)
  • The Nursing Team
  • The Pharmacy Team

Your Appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Telephone Consultation Appointments

If you have a Telephone Consultation booked with a member of our clinical team, you will not be called at the exact time that it states, the clinician will call you back either in the morning or afternoon depending on when your appointment is booked for. The clinician will call you back on the number provided.

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

To cancel your appointment:

Home Visits

Home visits are for the housebound or seriously unwell patients.

If you are housebound or seriously unwell and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. A clinician will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit please call the surgery on 01283 565200 as soon after 8am as possible.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs
